PROJECT CHECKLIST

Preparing for a power system study

The drawings, equipment data and operating scenarios that help a study start on a clear foundation.

01

Start with the decision

Define what the study needs to answer: available capacity, voltage performance, fault duty, or the impact of a proposed change. Agree the system boundary and operating scenarios before modelling.

02

Assemble the core inputs

Gather current single-line diagrams, utility fault data, transformer ratings and impedances, cable details, load schedules and equipment ratings. Record document revisions and identify assumed or missing data.

03

Confirm the deliverables

Agree the model format, report structure, scenarios, review process and revision allowance. Clarify whether a site survey, protection assessment or signed deliverable is part of the scope.

This guide is general scoping information. The engineering method and applicable requirements must be established for the specific project.
